Description

This excellent deep red beetroot can be used as a baby beet, or grown on as a main crop. Perfect for any salad with it’s globe roots and sweet tasting smooth flesh.

WHERE TO SOW

Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (½”) deep with 30cm (12″) between rows.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4″). Do not transplant.

HARVEST

June to October

HANDY TIP

For a plentiful supply of sweet small roots , sow successionally at fortnightly intervals. Ideal for using as a baby beetroot sown in containers on the patio.
