Description

Very frizzy curled deep green leaves held on plants 50-60cm tall which need no staking.The older larger leaves will be more bitter so best to use only young leaves.

WHERE TO SOW

Sow the seeds thinly in a well prepared seed bed 1.5cm (1/2″) deep in rows 15cm apart.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

As the seedlings appear, thin to 7cm apart. When they are about 15cm (6″) tall, transplant to the growing site about 60cm apart, planting so the lowest leaves are just above the soil.

HANDY TIP

Harvest young shoots from the crown of the plant when 10-15cm long using a sharp knife.
